WAYBACK BURGER | FRISCO, TEXAS

Hello Foodies

Today's destination is a fast-food delight that goes by the name of Wayback Burger.

This establishment located in Frisco, Texas just recently opened. I have to start with a spoiler, I am impressed by how much I loved this place despite all the burger places popping up in our area.

That being said, it's really hard to stay innovative and differentiate yourself with all the competition.

Customer Service

As usual lets start with Customer service.

Wayback Burger excells in customer service, which is what I hope for in all restaurants opening.

Part of why I started this blog was due to my own personal negative experiences at several establishments in the area, and this is something I didn't want anyone else to have to face.

While still new, Wayback is hitting the ground running and the service is phenomenal.

As you walk in the door, you're warmly greeted by the staff, no matter how busy the restaurant is.

Upon ordering your food, they assure you that your food will be out promptly and that you made a good decision in your selection, and it's all very genuine and kind.

Once your food is ready, they bring out your food to the table and ask if you need anything else.

The most exciting part of their service is that it continues beyond the food and bill.

We went towards the end of the night, and even while the staff was cleaning or moving around you, they always made it a point to say hello and ask if you needed anything else.

The Manager/Owner (not sure) came out to our table and asked how we were enjoying everything and how were the Mac & Cheese Bites (yes, mac and cheese bites, don't worry we will get there).

This kind of engagement in service is what I believe will set them apart from other burger chains.

Food

As for the food, they serve hot dogs, burgers, mac & cheese bites, the theme is very much wholesome american food. At our table we had a little bit of everything, A hotdog, Hamburgers,

Mac & Cheese bites, Chili Cheese Fries, and shakes. Everything was great, burgers were delicious and well cooked, not your typical quick flip and serve burger. The stand outs however were the

hot dog, mac & cheese bites, and the shakes. I'm a sucker for a banana shake and while not on the menu, they do have a strawberry and banana shake, which i was told could be just a banana shake.

So I ordered the banana shake, and I am glad I did, the taste is rich and not artificial. The texture is smooth and soft, this shake delivers and best of all, it's ready to drink. The shake is cold and what you'd expect out of a shake but it's not frozen to where you can't get it through the straw.

Second stand out was the mac and cheese bites. These come out and are rather small, but they don't skip on the mac and cheese, it's 90% mac and cheese and 10% fried breading. The taste is excellent and the mac and cheese is smooth and flavorful. Last all star would be the hot dog, the presentation was what got me first, and when you order yours you'll understand. While I did not order the hot dog myself I was told the flavor was unique to wayback and would be something ordered over and over again. That pretty much covers the food, while I listed three all stars, I can confidently say no matter what you order, your bound to love what you get, and the service will make it even better.

Overall, Wayback Burger is some place I will continue to go back to over and over again. This restaurant is some place I would recommend to anyone in the area, looking for this kind of food.

Even if your not in the mood for burgers and dogs, maybe go for a snack, a shake, give it a try, you won't regret it.

Thank you again,

Your Local Foodie
